Welcome to HCC K-9 Training
Where Honor, Courage, and Commitment Guide Everything We Do

At HCC K-9, we believe that dog training is about far more than just commands—it's about connection. That’s why our training philosophy is rooted in three core values that shape every session, every relationship, and every success story:

-
Honor – Respect and value the deep bond you share with your dog.
-
Courage – Stand up for your dog’s needs, well-being, and potential.
-
Commitment – Build a strong, lasting relationship through trust, time, and consistency.
-

These values come directly from our founder’s personal journey—one forged in service, shaped by experience, and now dedicated to building better lives through better training.

Pawsitive Re-enforcement
Building Confident Dogs & Happier Owners—One Good Habit at a Time
At HCC K-9 Training, we believe that great behavior starts with great leadership—and that means showing your dog that all good things come from you. From earning freedom on the leash to earning your praise, dogs thrive when they understand what’s expected and are rewarded for doing the right thing.

Just like raising children, it’s about clear boundaries, consistent guidance, and celebrating progress. We don’t just correct the unwanted behaviors—we focus on reinforcing the Pawsitive ones!

Through our proven, relationship-based training approach, we help curb:
-
Jumping
-
Pulling
-
Excessive barking
-
Reactivity
-
Chewing, digging, and more
And we build up:
-
Calm, confident responses
-
Reliable obedience
-
Trust between dog and handler
-
Positive habits that last
Our goal?
To help you raise a dog who chooses the right behavior because they trust and respect you—not because they fear correction.
Meet Your Trainers

Meet Brian – Founder & Lead Instructor at HCC K-9
Hi, I’m Brian, founder and lead instructor here at HCC K-9 Training. After proudly serving 14 years in the U.S. military, I discovered a new mission—working with dogs.
What started as a passion quickly became a purpose, combining my background in discipline, structure, and leadership with a deep respect for the loyalty and drive that dogs naturally bring to the table.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of owning and working with a variety of breeds—including a Miniature Pinscher, American Staffordshire Terrier, three Boxers, two Belgian Malinois, and now our current crew: Murphy and Kyle, our German Shepherds, and Scout, our newest Golden Retriever pup.
But our training isn’t just about dogs—it’s about families. At home, I train and live alongside my wife and our three young children. Together, we’ve built a balanced “pack” that includes humans and canines working together with trust, respect, and clear communication.

That’s the heart of what we teach at HCC K-9. Whether you're welcoming a new puppy, helping your dog adjust to life with a new baby, or just looking to build better structure and obedience, we’ll help you create a calm, confident companion who truly feels like a valued member of your family.
If you're ready to become a stronger leader for your dog—and grow that bond for life—we’re excited to work with you.

Welcome to the HCC K-9 family. Let’s train together.

Hi everyone, I’m Elizabeth! I graduated from The University Of Rhode Island in December of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Technology and a Minor in Sociology.
Throughout the years, I worked closely with a K9 trainer who specialized in Police K9s. During that time, I participated in hundreds of hours of training doing bite work, narcotics detection, explosives detection, tracking and obedience, eventually getting my own narcotics detection dog to handle. I was also an intern for the Rhode Island State Police K9 Unit.
Currently, I am a Veterinary Technician and have been for two years. I also works as a groom and stable hand for a horse trainer at a barn in Massachusetts for standardbred race horses. I am a native Rhode Islander and grew up in Cumberland.
I love animals and can’t wait to help you and your pup succeed here at HCC K-9!
